Mrs Jeanette Barker Dead.
Mrs Jeanette Barker, wife of J. H. Barker, of Hersman, died at her home at 3:30 o’clock Monday afternoon. She had been critically ill for a number of days.
Mrs Barker was born November 1, 1861, and was married May 1 1884, to J. H. Barker, who with six children survive her. The children are Mrs. Iva Wilson, Mrs. Inez Powell, Virgil Barker, Ora Barker, Florence and Alta Barker.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Hersman church, followed by interment in the Hersman cemetery.

Obituary
Jeanette Claridge, daughter of James A. and Maria Claridge, was born near Otterville, Ill., November 1, 1864. She was united in marriage with J. H. Barker May 1, 1884.
To this union were born eight children. Sylvester and Edith preceded her in death.
She united with the Baptist church in early life. Later changing her membership to the Presbyterian church at Hersman. She was a faithful follower, living a quiet Christian life, always thinking of others first.
Those left to mourn her loss are the husband, five daughters, Mrs May Wilson, Mrs. Inez Powell, Ora, Florence and Alta. at home, and one son, James Virgil. Besides her four sisters and two brothers, only one being present at the funeral, she leaves seventeen grandchildren.
