Obituary for Ellen Eliza Knight Griffiths
Mrs W. P. Griffiths is very sick at their home north west of town with but little hope for her recovery. Three sons Pairs [Paris], Delbert and Walter Griffiths and two daughters Mesdames Esther Kirby and Sadie McFarland all of Oakland [Pottawattamie County] came down Monday evening to see her.

DOINGS OF THE DEATH ANGEL
Mrs. W. P. Griffiths
Mrs. W. P. Griffiths died May 12 of tuberculosis at her home near Emerson. The remains were sent to Galesburg, Ill., for burial.1 Her maiden name was Ellen Knight and she was born Oct. 16, 1851, in Brown county, Ill. She is survived by a husband, four sons and seven daughters.
