Obituary – Francis Eugene Test
Francis Eugene Test of Camp Point, age 12 years, died Wednesday night, October 9 in St. Mary hospital, Quincy of poliomyelitis, after an illness of three days and was a patient at the hospital only a few hours.
Francis Eugene was the son of Guy Test of Perry and Mrs. Violet Test of Camp Point, and was born in this city, January 14, 1934. He attended Maplewood school at Camp Point, being in the eighth grade. He was a bright student and loved by his teachers and schoolmates.
He is survived by his grief stricken parents and sister Priscella, his grandfather, Frank Bond; his grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Test of Perry. A sister Barbara Ann preceded him in death in 1933.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church, October 11, Father J. L. Marley officiating. Rounds funeral directors in charge, and the body tenderly laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery, beneath a profusion of lovely flowers, cared for by Patsy Thornton and Marie Kassing. Pallbearers were Laurence, Glenn and Ralph Franklin and Willie Bond.
